The first few days and weeks are
the most important for a new tattoo.

Keep the bandage on for 2-5 Hours after tattooing. Your skin will continue to weep, but this is normal. The bandage is there to keep your skin protected from dirt & bacteria. With clean hands or while showering, remove the bandage & clean the tattoo with soapy water. Gently pat the area dry with a clean towel. Let the tattoo air out & dry for roughly 10 minutes. Rewrap the tattoo for the first night’s sleep. In the morning, unwrap & clean the tattoo with soapy water again.
Once dry, apply a thin layer of aftercare cream (Bepanthen First Aid or similar) to the whole tattoo. Do not re-bandage. Continue to apply a thin layer of cream twice a day for 7 - 10 days. You may notice some peeling & possible scabbing. The tattoo will become itchy at this point in the healing process. Resit the urge to pick, scratch or rub the new tattoo.
